City Mayor Marilou Flores Morillo recently attended the Inauguration and Groundbreaking of Government Centers held in the Municipality

of Bongabong on July 8, 2024. The event was graced by DILG Secretary, Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr., who played a significant role in the proceedings.

One of the highlights of the event was the awarding of certificates to the recipients of the 2023–2024 Local Government Support Fund (LGSF). The City Government of Calapan was a notable beneficiary, receiving a total of ₱33,650,000 through the LGSF-Financial Assistance to Government Units (FALGU) for FY 2023. Mayor Morillo expressed her gratitude for the substantial support, emphasizing its importance in advancing the city’s development projects.

Additionally, the event featured the soft opening of the dialysis center at RUR Hospital in Bongabong. This new facility aims to provide essential medical services to the community, further highlighting the event’s focus on improving local healthcare infrastructure. The occasion underscored the collaborative efforts of various government entities to enhance public services and infrastructure for the benefit of the local populace.
