To continuously develop and enhance computer-based information systems of the city government and establish an effective computer operation that can bring about faster communication links among departments, other cities and municipalities, and other government institutions/agencies.

PROGRAMS & SERVICES

AKSYON AGAD FREE WIFI FOR ALL

The Aksyon Agad Free Wi-Fi for All program provides free and reliable internet access to residents across various barangays in Calapan City, offering vital support to students and community members who rely on connectivity for learning, work, and daily needs. Managed by the MIS Office, this service promotes equal digital opportunities, provides easier access to information, and enhances community connectivity.

IMPLEMENTATION OF E-LGU SYSTEM IN THE CITY OF CALAPAN

The eLGU System (Electronic Local Government Unit System) is a digital platform designed to modernize and streamline local government services. Implemented through the collaboration of the City Government and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), the system simplifies processes such as business permits, licensing, and other frontline transactions. It promotes efficiency, transparency, and accountability while making government services more accessible to citizens and business owners.

Calapan City is the first Local Government Unit in Mindoro, and the second in the entire MIMAROPA region, to implement the eLGU System. This initiative aims to simplify business processes while strengthening the delivery of government services for local entrepreneurs, fostering a more efficient, transparent, and business-friendly environment.

NET ON WHEELS (NOW) SERVICES

The Net on Wheels (NOW) was initially designed to provide mobile internet services for the City Government of Calapan through its various departments and offices during field activities and events. It ensures seamless online access for activities that require internet support in remote or on-site locations.

Requirement/s:

  • Two (2) copies of the request letter

Steps:

  1. Submit the requirement/s to the MIS Office, located at the Isolation Building of Calapan City Hall.
  2. The Administrative Assistant will verify if the requested date is available.
  3. Once confirmed, the Administrative Assistant will stamp “Received” on your copy of the request letter.

SOUND SYSTEM SERVICES

The MIS Office offers Sound System Services, delivering high-quality audio support for events, meetings, and public gatherings. These services ensure clear and reliable sound for government activities, national agencies, and private organizations within Calapan City, enhancing communication and audience engagement.

MONITORING/REVIEWING OF CCTV FOOTAGE

The MIS Office extends assistance to individuals and departments by monitoring and reviewing CCTV footage within the Calapan City Hall premises. This service facilitates the investigation of incidents, including loss of personal belongings, vehicle-related issues, and other security concerns.

Note: CCTV footage requests are strictly limited to incidents occurring within the Calapan City Hall premises.

IT EQUIPMENT REPAIR SERVICES

The MIS Office provides maintenance and technical support for various hardware devices, including computers, printers, and network equipment owned by the City Government of Calapan and used by its employees. This service ensures IT assets remain functional and reliable by diagnosing issues, repairing hardware, and replacing faulty components—minimizing downtime and keeping operations seamless.

GUIDE: HOW TO REQUEST IT EQUIPMENT REPAIR

Requirement/s:

  • Accomplished request/routing slip (from the MIS Office)

Steps:

  1. Secure and fill out a request/routing slip from the MIS Office, located at the Isolation Building of Calapan City Hall.
  2. Submit the completed form to the Administrative Assistant, who will receive and log your request. If possible, you may also bring the IT equipment for faster assessment.
  3. Once received, MIS technical staff will schedule an inspection of the equipment or conduct an immediate check if the unit is brought in.
  4. After diagnosis, the MIS team will perform the necessary repair or advise if replacement is required.
  5. The requesting office/individual will be updated on the status until the equipment is restored to working condition.

Note: Repair services are limited to IT equipment officially issued and used within the Calapan City Hall.

NETWORK, INTERNET, AND CONNECTIVITY SERVICES

The MIS Office delivers and manages secure, reliable network and internet connectivity within the New City Hall and across other City Government of Calapan offices located outside its premises. This service supports seamless communication, efficient data sharing, and access to online resources, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring the effective delivery of public services.

APPLICATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT, DEPLOYMENT & SUPPORT

The MIS Office develops and customizes application systems for the City Government of Calapan to automate processes, improve efficiency, and enhance service delivery. It also handles system deployment, provides technical support, and implements upgrades to ensure applications remain reliable, secure, and up-to-date. Through the adoption of innovative solutions and collaborative efforts, the office promotes transparency, streamlines processes, and reinforces the digital capabilities of the local government.

LIVE COVERAGE OF EVENTS

The MIS Office helps facilitate live coverage of city government-related events by providing the necessary equipment and technical support to ensure professional broadcasting. This initiative promotes transparency, fosters community engagement, and enhances public awareness of government activities.

ISSUANCE OF PRE-INSPECTION REPORT

The MIS Office issues Pre-Inspection Reports to verify and document the condition of IT equipment and related assets before procurement, deployment, or repair. This service ensures that all requests are properly assessed and evaluated, providing accountability and transparency in the management of government resources.

ISSUANCE OF POST-INSPECTION REPORT

The MIS Office issues Post-Inspection Reports to evaluate and document the condition of delivered or repaired IT equipment and related assets. This service ensures that all items meet required specifications, are in good working condition, and comply with government standards before final acceptance.

ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF DELIVERY

The MIS Office issues a Certificate of Delivery to officially acknowledge the receipt of IT equipment and related assets delivered to the City Government of Calapan. This certificate serves as proof that the items have been inspected, accepted, and recorded in accordance with government standards and procedures.

ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF NON-SERVICEABLE EQUIPMENT

The MIS Office issues a Certification of Non-Serviceable Equipment to formally declare IT equipment and related assets as defective, obsolete, or beyond repair. This certification is an essential requirement for the proper disposal or replacement of government property, ensuring accountability and compliance with established asset management procedures.

FOR FEEDBACK AND COMPLAINTS MECHANISM

Guided by transparency and accountability, the MIS Office remains dedicated to excellence in public service. To further enhance our services, we have established a Feedback and Complaints Mechanism, allowing citizens to share their concerns, suggestions, or grievances.

Processing and Resolution:

  • All received feedback and complaints will be logged and acknowledged within one (1) working day.
  • Concerns requiring immediate action will be addressed within three (3) working days, while complex cases may take up to 15 working days, depending on the nature of the complaint.
  • Updates on the status of complaints will be provided through email, phone, or a follow-up visit.
