Kinilala ng Department of Health – Center for Health Development MIMAROPA Nutrition Unit

ang Maria Estrella General Hospital bilang Best Mother-Baby Friendly Hospital nitong ika-30 ng Enero.

Kasabay nito, ginawad din ang dalawang (2) Certificate of Accredetation na tinanggap naman ni Dr. Melinda Corazon N. Goco – Medical Director, at ipinakita sa publiko ang Symbolic Marker ng ospital bilang tanda sa pagiging Mother-Baby Friendly Facility at Mother-Baby Friendly Workplace ng ospital.

Naging bahagi naman ng programa si City Mayor Marilou Flores-Morillo na siyang nagpahayag ng kaniyang kagalakan sa parangal na ito gayundin ang kaniyang pagsuporta sa mithiing makamit ang Mother-Baby Friendly MIMAROPA.

Kasama naman ng Punong-lungsod si Ms. Glenda Raquepo na siyang City Nutrition Action Officer ng City Health and Sanitation Department.
